Students need the original of the Graduate Diploma. The institution which has issued the diploma must be recognised by the Council of Higher Education in Turkey. The student is responsible for making sure that the institution is recognised in Turkey. For that the student can apply for the recognition in the Ministry of Education of the Turkish Republic and attach the proof of recognision to the application. If the student does no apply for the recognition then Dogus University will send the institution information to the Ministry of Education of the Turkish Republic for the recognition. In case the institution will not pass the recognition the student’s registration will be cancelled.

Genelde okulunuzdan uygun bir transkript alabilirsiniz. Koşullara uygun bir transkript alamıyorsanız, belgelerin orijinalleri ile birlikte noter onaylı çevirilerini de almanız gerekmektedir.
Kesin kayıt tarihlerinde Üniversiteye gittiğinizde yanınızda giriş koşul belgelerinin orijinallerini götürmeniz gerekmektedir.
PhD students accepted to a program taught in Turkish still have to prove their proficiency in English before they can start their academic studies. International students who are unable to submit the required English language test scores during their application can take the Dogus University English Proficiency Test upon arrival. Students who fail the test can start their studies as an irregular student. After one year they have to prove their English level again. Irregular students can not apply for the residence permit.

PhD program in Translation Studies aims at training researchers and academics who are competent in Translation Studies and language technologies, literature and research methods, have the necessary knowledge and tools to conduct original research in the fields of translation theory, translation criticism, translation history and language technologies; and who can contribute to the development of Translation Studies discipline.
The PhD program in Translation Studies is designed to cover the traditional research areas in translation studies and also to address to the contemporary needs that have emerged as a result of the global translation movements and applications.
To fulfill this aim, the program offers required and elective courses. Required courses include advanced theoretical and technological knowledge and skills. Elective courses focus on the fields of expertise within translation studies and language technologies.
The medium of instruction is English.
The PhD program consists of 9 courses, including one seminar course, with 24 credits, qualifying exam, thesis proposal and thesis defense. The course program is to be designed according to the interests and needs of students.
