İstanbul Şehir University (ŞEHİR) is a non-profit, state recognized higher education institution established by the Foundation for Sciences and Arts (BSV) in 2008. Its founder BSV is a renowned NGO functioning for more than 25 years in the field of social sciences, organizing many international and national academic activities and free seminars in related areas.
ŞEHİR is located in İstanbul, at the crossroad at the civilizations, with its three campuses in walking distance to each other. As a university with a total student population of 4000, around 700 of its currently enrolled students are from more than 72 different countries.

The dining halls at Altunizade campuses have been designed as places where students and faculty members eat the same food and share the same environment.
There are three meals a day at our dining halls which carry high priority for presenting healthy food. There is a food stand of four variety of main course, two side orders, two soups during the week and a food stand of one soup, one main course and one side order at the weekends. The cafeterias present rich alternatives with pastry products, breakfast options, various coffee, tea and cold beverages as well as different course options.
The cafeterias, with a wide open sitting areas including the close area, are gathering points where our students can be together.

Access to the ŞEHİR Altunizade Campuses -located at the most central spot of the Anatolian side of Istanbul- is very easy with public transportation. Our campuses are within 500 meters walking distance to the Altunizade metrobus stop located at the point where the European and Anatolian sides meet. Lovers of sea transportation who live on the European side can come to Kadıköy or Üsküdar and arrive at our campuses with a single bus ride lasting 15 minutes. There is free ring services from Çamlıca Guesthouse (for boys) and Acıbadem Guesthouse (for girls) GUESTHOUSES to the campuses during the day.

For international students registered to the university in 2017, the dorm fee per semester is 1.350 USD.
Dormitory fees for the Academic Year 2017-2018 Fall Semester are to be paid between August 28 - September 12.
Students can pay their dormitory fee for the Istanbul Şehir University Student Dormitory in cash via EFT, transfer, or at the bank branch whose details are as follows. All extra charges for transfer transactions, etc. during payment are paid by the students.
When paying with the EFT, transfer, or bank branch methods, students must state their name – “Student's Name" – and their ID number – “Student's ID Number" – in the description. Please keep your bank receipt with you as it might need it when you move into your room.
A 5% cash discount applies for annual fees (Fall Semester + Spring Semester) paid in cash or with credit card (on the condition that they are not paid in installments), and a 2% cash discount for single semester fees (Fall Semester) paid in cash or with credit card (on the condition that they are not paid in installments).
You can pay the annual fee in installments with credit cards included in our university's Card Acceptor Agreement (Paraf, Bonus, World). This will be divided into 4 installments for the semester and 8 installments for the year. If the credit cards with which we have an agreement have extra installment campaigns, the number of installments may increase. Monthly installments in cash, checks, and promissory notes are not accepted for the dormitory payment.
