As a result of globalization, trade companies have developed new economic policies. Such concepts as multinational features, configurations of international organizations and the management and organization of foreign markets should become part of the policies of these companies. Competition has forced companies to find professionals specialized in the fields of international trade.
The subject of International Trade consists of areas that are different, but that complement each other such as economic fundamentals concerning imports and exports of companies that are located in different countries and of multi-national ones, transactions and applications, documents that are used, financing etc.
Department of International Trade aims to help the students develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful administrators and managers in today’s age of globalisation, that is, the constant intensification of competition.
In today’s world, where the University-Business World cooperation is at the forefront, students are given the opportunity to make contact with the business world and additionally, these students are supported by practical training and projects.
Graduates may work as managers or experts at various firms, especially, in international trade and finance sector (banks, exports, imports and finance departments of the firms, intermediary firms, insurance and individual retirement funds and so on). Our graduates may also be employed as experts at relevant public institutions (The Under secretariats of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade and Treasury and Capital Market Boards of Turkey and so on.)
