The field of Metallurgy and Material Engineering includes the subjects of acquisition of metals and their alloys from minerals that have metal in their compositions and the conversion of these metals and their alloys into raw materials that the industry demands by processing and the acquisition and processing of nonmetal items such as ceramic and plastic. Nowadays, this field of engineering is continuing its development as a multi disciplined science that has spread into the fields of machine, construction, chemistry, electricity-electronics, environment, automotive, ship and sea technologies, airplane and space technologies, biomechanics and medicine and plays an important role in the introduction of production processes that are in accordance with the trio of efficiency, energy and raw material into the sector. All the stages of development from the production to the final use of metals and their alloys, ceramics, plastics, rubber and composite materials make up the work area of Metallurgy and Material Engineering.
