Public Relations and Publicity Program intends to educate qualified personnel who can use and evaluate different communication channels along with creative devices in a holistic way and make it possible for the establishmentto form healthy, sustainable and transparent relations with all of its shareholders.

In this day and age, the traditional approach to business is constantly changing. It is now competitive and customer oriented. Some of the most important things to remember when adapting to the business world are public relations, advertising, and promoting the sector. In this context, the purpose of an Associate Degree in the Public Relations and Publicity Programme is to provide administrative skills both theoretically and practically and to train graduates to be qualified in their field. The courses in the Associate Degree Programme cover the following: Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Brand Management and Media Planning, and various other courses related to business administration and social sciences. During the implementation portion of the programme, students are given both theoretical information and practice in courses like media planning, advertising production and management, copywriting, marketing, communication skills, and campaign preparation. The aim is to have students be knowledgeable, experienced, and active participants in the workforce after graduation.

Programme structure

This program aims to train and bring up entellectual, creative and problem solving vocational personnel who are sensitive on Atatürk Principles and Revolutions.

Have effective speaking and presentation skills Know basic concepts and knowledge related to PR Know English Language at intermadiate level Have good knowledge about general business, basic Law and commercial legislation Recognize protocol rules that necessary for social and business life Also recognize PR related disciplines and distinguish their fields from each other Represent their corporatin successfully for internal and external stakeholders Use IT technologies in order to generate data and also to organize, conduct, store, present and share data accurately at company level. Know verbal and non-verbal communication rules and communicate effectively according with these rules Also have basic knowledge about customer relations Understand TQ approach and social responsibility concept Know how to cooperate with non-profit organizations.

Career opportunities

The main goal of this program is to familiarize students with basic concepts and applications of Public Relations (PR) Profession and bring up skillful vocational staff who have a priority to get job in the field. It’s also aimed to give basic knowledge about marketing, advertising, customer relations, human resources, corporate communication and media and organization functions of public and private sector companies.
