It is a branch of science which studies the approaches of economic agents, institutions, and functioning of the systems and the efficient use of scarce resources and produces policies. In our country and world changing and globalizing rapidly, and where the importance of competition is increasing, view and duty fields of manpower educated with basic knowledge of this science are becoming more extensive.
Education is given in the departments of economic development and international economics, economic theory and economic policy. Courses such as mathematics, sociology, economic systems, international economic policy, accounting, development economics, production management, quantitative methods, public finance, investment, economics, and econometrics are taught.
Graduates can work in the fields such as the public and private sector as upper level management; financial sector as specialist, inspector, consultant and auditor; Court of accounts and accounting sector as the administrator and planner and as marketer in public relations. The tasks of the graduates are performing cost and price analysis, examining changes in the labor market, determining marketing methods efficiency, the production of goods and services and solving all the economic problems encountered in these areas. They can work together with entrepreneur, financier, sociologist, lawyer, industrial engineering, statistician, tourism and hotel operators and all professions having contribution of production in the office environment.
