• Original “Equivalence Certificate” to be obtained from the Turkish Ministry of Education or the Turkish Embassy in their country, indicating that their high school diploma is the equivalent of Turkish high schools diploma
Thanks to the globalization of the world economy, rapid adaptation of domestic economies and our country’s efforts of convergence with the European Union, the importance and vitality of the Foreign Trade program is at a constant rise. The increasing complexity of foreign trade and political affairs, the requirement of university graduation and knowledge of regulations in the field of foreign trade to the employees working in the field have made Foreign Trade and Customs Management businesses more attractive.
The purpose of the Foreign Trade program is to train workforce for the foreign trade and customs management fields. They can work in customhouses tied to the Ministry of Finance and Customs, in import and export bureaus in the private sector or can work freelance as customs agents.
In the first year of our programme, courses like Economy, Management, General Customs Regulations, Basic Mathematics, Commercial Law, Computing, Turkish Customs Association, General Accounting and Turkish Economy; in the second year, courses like International Economy, Container Systems and Management, Turkish Taxing System, Financial Crimes and Penal Law, Import and Export Procedures, Customs Laws and Regulations, Global Logistics, Storage Management Systems, Port and Free Trade Zone Management, Tariff Schedules, Prevention and Monitoring of Smuggling, Total Quality Management, Customs Information Systems, International Shipping and Insurance are attended and put into practise.
Internship with a minimum of 30 working days is mandatory for our students to graduate. They can undergo training in customhouses or customs brokerages.
Our graduates are entitled as “Foreign Trade-Customs Management Personnel”. The personnel can undergo business training and work as customs brokers, expert personnel in import and export bureaus or as officers within public institutions.
