Growing tourism sector due to alternative tourism areas in the world and Turkey, is one of the most important areas of employment for young people. Our department serves five years with preparation class and the language of education is English. Young tourism professionals take courses in the field of general tourism management for the first two years and then the last two years they specialize in one of the fields of “Hotel Management” or “Gastronomy and Culinary Arts” in line with their interests and career goals. Our department has agreements with many universities in different countries and our students benefit from these educational opportunities.
Atilim University Hotel Management Program with its teaching staff experienced academically and also in the tourism sector traines creative entrepreneurs and leading hotel managers equipped with knowledge and skills within the sector. Hotel Management Program includes courses in the field of basic management information such as economy, finance, management, human resources, accounting, marketing and behavioral sciences and courses in the field of tourism such as sustainable tourism, conference tourism, catering, travel agencies and tour operations courses. Graduate Hotel Management Program students can work as managers at national or international hotel companies or they can be also employed in many different areas in tourism sector
One of the most popular and attractive business areas in recent years, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program students are getting educated in the fields of food and beverage management, cooking techniques, Turkey Culinary, world cuisines, restaurant management, pastry and wine culture. Our department has kitchens and restaurants equipped with modern technology to develop students’ creativity. Graduate Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program students can start their own catering business or they can take place in the sector as executive chef in hotels and restaurants.
Thanks to the cooperation protocol between Atilim University Tourism and Hotel Management Department and one of the world’s largest hotel chains Ankara Sheraton Hotels and Convention Center,our students have the opportunity to do their course applications and internships at Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center. Moreover, our successful students have significant advantages due to this cooperation at the end of graduation in terms of opportunities that may arise in the process of employment.
