Modern businesses are directly affected by current developments in international trade, the economic environment and financial markets. For this reason, possible variables affecting these markets need to be fully understood and integrated into the decision making processes. It is predicted that in the future, markets will become even more competitive, and managers will face even more economic integration with fewer international trade barriers. They will have to closely follow processes and take instant, accurate decisions on a global scale. For this reason, there is a growing demand for managers, who keep abreast of the changes happening in the international trade and finance arena. Graduates from this programme will be qualified as managers. They will have a strong background in finance, understand the implications of applying theoretical knowledge and will be able to evaluate the relationship between global trade, the economic environment and financial markets.
Second Cycle, Master’s Degree (MA) in “International Trade and Finance” is awarded to students who have scored a Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.00 / 4.00 and have completed all the courses (120 ECTS for thesis programme 90 ECTS for non-thesis programme) with at least a letter grade of B- or S in the program. A student who has satisfied these conditions completes his/her education and provides the necessary conditions for graduation.
The Master’s program of “International Trade and Finance” prepares students for a wide range of job opportunities and employment facilities according to their individual interests and preferences. More specifically, graduates of the program are eligible for several positions in businesses with international and global dimensions and in financial markets such as global distribution manager, international human resources manager, international sales representative, financial analyst, bank manager, currency expert, international business consultant, stock broker, hedge fund manager, risk management solutions analyst, import-export manager, marketing services manager and financial or managerial accountant, auditor.
