Overview
In Turkish Language and Literature Department Doctorate Program, the aim is to train experts and lecturers who research, within scientific ethics and a spirit of a researcher, various matters of Turkish language, literature and culture from the past to the present with new methods, who synthesize these with the realities of our world, who are open-minded and extend visions of their students and who are researchers and examiners. A great number of students from various countries, Turkic republics and other Muslim countries come to our country for masters study. As a policy of government and culture, Turkish Republic provides masters education scholarship to many students within the frame of the cultural agreements made with vaious countries.
Programme structure
Improving the students’ reading- research possibilities is the general policy of our university. The warm relationships with the Turkish and the related communities, whom we are relatives in terms of culture and language, that have occurred since 1990’ s makes research on new collaboration opportunities in masters and doctorate fields inevitable. Due to this new program, graduate education of students from Turkish and related communities will be contributed.
Career opportunities
It is a cultural, economical and political need to train young researchers who can make studies especially within the context of Turkish Language and Literature on Contemporary Turkish dialects and literatures. Regarding all these, Turkish Language and Literature initiated a doctorate program. In the courses given in this program, ways of analyzing Turkish language and literature with classical and new methods are shown and Turkish language and literature is handled in a unity within all the areas it has extended.
