Overview
Journalism is a field enlightening public with its informative feature and has a high social responsibility in terms of “conveying accurate news and information”. Developing communication technologies have lifted borders in journalism making it one of the most important international actors. In this context, journalists who are shaped by new media technology dynamics, who can be successful in diverse fields of communication and who have the practical and theoretical background required by mainstream and local media are trained in the department of journalism.
Programme structure
The Bachelor’s Degree Program of the Journalism Department is a 240 ECTS credits program of 4 years composed of eight semesters, each with a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS is equal to 25.5 hours of student workload per semester.
