Overview
Atılım University Economics Department aims at training economists who can question and interpret economic and social phenomena, and furnish projections for the future. We strive to accomplish this goal by supplying a sound theoretical base and encouraging analytical thinking. The department aims to function as a dynamic, productive and distinguished school of economics with top quality publications, alumni and activities that guide the society and the policymakers.
Programme structure
The undergraduate program aims to equip students with analytical thinking skills founded on a sound theoretical base in economics. A major goal is to raise economists who question and interpret economic and social events, and make projections about the future. To accomplish this goal, the program pays great emphasis on testing theories with practical applications. The program is designed to adapt recent developments in the field of economics home and abroad.

The graduates of the economics department at Atılım University have a variety of career options in public and private sectors as economists, financiers, bankers or managers. In the public sector, graduates can find jobs in various institutions including the Ministry of Development, Department of Treasury, Ministry of Foreign Trade, Central Bank of Turkey, Ministry of Public Finance, Competition Authority, Turkish Standards Institute, National Productivity Center, Turkish Statistical Institute, Privatization Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries, government-owned enterprises and public banks.
