Entry qualification | Postgraduate diploma (or higher) -International students applying for a masters program at KHAS must have a bachelor degree. The graduation GPA must be minimum 2.00/4.00.Students who have taken standardized graduate exams (GRE, GMAT, ALES) may also submit their scores. If available, a copy of the Graduate Programs Entrance Exam Score Report. The following examinations are accepted at Kadir Has University: GRE quantitative (min. 685) Students with high GPA and/or standardized exam scores may qualify for scholarships. Applicant students may be called for an interview in person or via telephone or skype. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Turkish. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take verified copies of the entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

Language requirements | English International students, except for native speakers of English, applying for programs where the language of instruction is English, are strongly recommended to submit the following English language test scores during their application. Students who cannot submit any one of these tests may take the KHAS English Proficiency Test upon arrival (September10-15, January 10-15). Test scores for English proficiency: TOEFL-IBT: 79, IELTS academic: 5.5, ÜDS: 66/100 or KHAS English Proficiency Test: minimum 60/100. Students who cannot demonstrate sufficient English proficiency must attend the KHAS English Preparatory Program for up to 1 year, before they can start their graduate program. Attendance to this program is subject to the payment of separate fees (6.500 USD). International students applying to an academic program taught in Turkish, except for those whose native language is Turkish, must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in Turkish during the application. Overview
The Doctoral Program in Electronics Engineering focuses on Telecommunications Technologies, Wireless Communications and Sensor Networks, Microwave Systems and Control an with the aid of the several funded projects supported by the national as well as international sources.
Main objective of the program is to graduate high level and talented Ph. D. students who could handle and interpret difficult and challenging problems in telecommunications, information technology within Electronics Engineering. Our PhD. Graduates are expected to handle, analyze, design and offer viable solutions to the problems of the related institutions and companies in Turkey as well as abroad. On the other hand, we aim to give Ph. D education to prepare them to do research and teaching as a faculty member in universities both in Turkey and abroad.
Programme structure
Doctoral students in the Electronics Engineering Ph. D. Program are offered graduate courses such as Telecommunication and Information Engineering, Wireless Mobile Communications, Sensor networks, Microwave Systems and Electronics and Control Systems. Upon the completion of the PhD degree, the candidate should be at the forefront of knowledge in Telecommunications and in its related areas. The candidate should be able to evaluate the use of different methods in these subject areas, and should be able to contribute to the development of new knowledge, new theories and new methods in the subject area.

Upon completion of the PhD degree, the candidate should be able to formulate questions for, and plan and carry out research in telecommunications and in its related subject areas. The candidate should be able to conduct research at an international level, and should be able to address complex technical questions and challenge established knowledge and practices in the area.
